This error pops us mostly while trying to access your MYSQL database
Resolution:
[[email protected] ~]# /etc/init.d/mysqld stop

[[email protected] ~]# mysqld_safe –skip-grant-tables &
[1] 24359
[[email protected] ~]# Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
[[email protected] ~]# mysql -u root

mysql> show databases;
